Md. correctional officers warn of low staffing levels

The union representing Maryland correctional officers is warning that staffing levels in state prisons are at dangerously low levels. The Herald-Mail in Hagerstown reports that the Maryland chapter of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) held a press conference Saturday to call for more hiring.
