On behalf of AFSCME Maryland, we wish all workers a Happy Labor Day! We thank and honor all of Maryland's hard-working public servants. We make Maryland Happen 365 days a year, 24/7. Although many state employees will be on leave for this federal holiday, we send a special THANK YOU to our dedicated 24/7 employees working around the clock and through the holiday. On the first Monday in September, we take the day off to celebrate Labor Day and reflect on the American worker’s contributions to our country.
