No More Harassment In Our Workplaces!
Last fall, members of AFSCME and AFT worked with the Department of Budget and Management to strengthen the definition of workplace bullying and develop a policy
to better train supervisors on the subject and improve the complaint process.
As of January 1, 2017, the policy went into effect for all state employees. Almost 6
months later, MDOT refuses to extend this to employees who work in its business units.
We demand that MDOT implement the current policy immediately and
develop a concrete plan to train managers on this important issue.
