COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

AFSCME Maryland members today won passage of our Freedom to Vote Bill (HB 537) giving Department of Education, Transportation Authority and Office of the Comptroller employees the same freedom to vote for collective bargaining if we choose to that most other state and unversity employees already have.

Friday, March 30th the Maryland State Senate joined the House, voting 36 -10 to pass our Freedom to Vote Bill.  Now the measure goes to the governor for his signature.
