CONGRATULATIONS LISA JAMES-HENSON!
Sgt. Lisa James-Henson is a 22-year employee of the State of Maryland and the Unit Manager Sergeant at Chesapeake Detention Facility, which houses Federal Detainees in downtown Baltimore.
As President of Local 1427, Sgt. Henson has been managing the finances and organizing for a 1200+ member local for years. She also serves as an Executive Vice-President of AFSCME Council 3, fighting
for the rights of all state employees of Maryland and members of AFSCME.
Sgt. Henson is a lifelong resident of West Baltimore. She is a member of the Doswell Cathedral Church
of God in Christ in Baltimore, where she is an Evangelist.
Lisa ran for the pension board because she wants to grow and protect state employee’s retirement.
